I love cats. I had many pet cats who gave me their lovely company for more than a decade each! As they grew old, they had to go, so they went, just like all else that breathes.

I miss them a lot even to this day and paintings of cats from memory heal my aching heart. I got into the mood and painted a series of 9 cats, all watercolours on paper, all free hand paintings made at one stretch.

This painting especially, is dear to me, a vivid memory of my beloved cat Ammani who in her last few days, used to sit next to the window and stare at the blue sky. Never knew what her thoughts were.
